Got the ring, got a certificate. Jobs a good un'

Thanks anyway.

Just curious, what was the stated gold weight and diamond size quoted on the certificate?

I don't have the document to hand because i'm out of town, but i'm sure the gold was described only as 18ct and the diamond i think 13ct.

That may be wrong but 90% sure thats what it says.

Pity you don't have the exact details as I could have given you an approximate manufacturing cost (based on gold weight and estimated diamond quality (most good jewellery shops in Thailand use Si/ I-J diamonds as a minimum quality for their 18ct rings) then you would have known if you were paying too much.

I'm sure the stone size would be .13, or 0.13 carats as a 13 carat stone would have blown your jewellery budget for the next fifty or sixty years!!!.......unless you're very, very rich!

I think given the stone size, the price you paid and if the setting has some substance, that you have done alright, but really all that matters is that you like the ring and you feel good about your purchase......Enjoy, your only here once, remember... there are no pockets in a shroud!  ;)

Good studio apartments can be had at Lumpini Ville (Soi On Nut) Sukhumvit 77 from 8,000  Baht  a  month. Great on-site facilities, well equipped gym, nice pool, shops, restaurants, laundry, 24hr supermarket and excellent security staff.

Many expats are now living/moving to this area as the cost of things is a lot less here than say, Asoke or Nana areas. There are two large supermarkets right on the door step Carrefour and Tesco Lotus, an award winning local fresh produce market, and night market and beer/food garden all within easy walking distance of the complex.

The nearest BTS station is On Nut  (trains run every three minutes) and it only takes ten minutes to get to Asoke and another five will have you at Nana and into Siam in less than twenty minutes from On Nut.

I've spent a very happy two years living here and to be honest I'm in no hurry to relocate!

Check it out, it may suit you down to the ground !   :jap:
