I'm surprised nobody has mentioned the "bar girl branding"; the standard across the lower back tattoo that lots of bar girls seem to have. It's nice of so many girls to have made the effort to give you something to look at when having fun, but it really is a form of "branding". They might be better off just getting an "I'm a hooker flag" that they can carry around, but still be able to get away from in the future!  Posted Image
Do you believe any girl with a tattoo at the lower part of their back (nicknamed a tramp stamp by the way!) is a 'hooker' (genuine question and not asked in an aggressive manner)?
Interested to hear the reply too. I know quite a few Thai females with a tattoo on their lower back and none of them have ever been a bar girl so it's a shame that they'll be thought of as such by a lot of narrow-minded farangs! I saw a similar thread to this a couple of years ago so asked them about it and they said it was a popular place to have one as a lot of Thai superstars were having them. They were studying at university at the time and said a lot of girls were having them done and that they, nor Thai friends/family, never associated a tattoo on their lower back with being a bar-girl, obviously they can tell the difference while a farang can't. But people have always stereotyped and always will, whether it's about someone with a shaved head, a tattoo, a black person, a gay person, a muslim....

The only reason I was asking the question was to see if Paulme was under the impression my wife was a 'hooker' because she also has a tattoo at the lower of her back...And she's from England!

Well it appears the consensus is we can and should use whatever force needed to protect our family, self, home and property... I shall add that to the growing list of things of things I love about Thailand, while others can put the kettle and make a nice cup of tea for their intruders, and even make a cucumber sandwich if the home invader is pleasant!

Good I'm glad you can spell and know the difference between American and British English. Yes, WE from the UK don't carry guns you're quite correct and I never mentioned it would be a 'happy' occasion.

Why do you feel the need to correct my use of verbs, retired English teacher or just retired?

While we're on the subject of correcting things just something I thought I should point out before heading to bed.

Try to work it out ,it's quite simple (you may want to consider moving your comma)

Self defence ( with a 'c') means stopping (you may want to consider moving the bracket next to the 'with' instead of a space away)

( it's old Anglo Saxon I think) (again with that bracket thing)
