Home Warer Filter

I just bought a used stainless steel water filter. Size about 40mm diamter x 150cm. This casing comes with all the back washing system.
I need to know what is the correct composition to be placed on the casing usch as active carbon, etc.
Could anyone please help me. This water only be used for showering, washing machine, etc. Not for srinking purpose.
