I think that occupying it, to the point that it ceases to function, might qualify as "seizing" the airport.
And, if people can't come and go, an airport serves little purpose.
But, then again, maybe it was "mysterious dark figures" who actually shut it down!

I've often seen something like this used by street food vendors.
The more connections made, the more chances for leaks. With only one, direct connection, and nothing to confine the gas, these "Picnics" are safer than many other gas appliances.
