Staying. Live in Dok Mai, to the west of the airport sandwiched between Bang-na Trat Road and Bangkok-Chonburi motorway. If they decide to dig those two roads up and it goes wrong, i (possibly stupidly) want to stay behind and try to save the house i've worked dam_n hard to save up to buy!

I agree, I know for a fact people who get robbed every single day of the week and I'm sure it amounts to more than 1,000,000 baht per day that's stolen. Maybe not in one go. but still. But what I really can't understand is the stupidity of people who think leaving valuables lying around the house is what is concidered safe. Would you leave 1,000,000 baht or even better yet say $30,000 just sitting on the kitchen table even if you've lived in the house for 20 years. You wouldn't do it anywhere especailly in an unsecured house (It was if he got in that easily).

It's like the 20 odd different people I know in california who had the car broken into, and their wallets and purses stolen that was sitting on the passenger seat. Som Nom Nah

Didn't it say that he had jewellry stolen to the value of 1,000,000B? I doubt even the most stupid Swede's would leave that amount of cash lying around the house. Why is everybody so paranoid about this? It sounds to me like the  thief was a little opportunist, saw a rich farang move in and tried his luck - Bingo!

You're all so paranoid it's unreal! DO any of you sleep at night?

Thanks for all the suggestions. I notice Dr Sankiat's name crops up a few times, I think we will go and meet with him. Maybe a bit awkward having been disappointed with another doctor in the same hospital, but I think it is very important to have a good relationship with the doc.

Someone else has given me the name of Dr.Noppadol at Bumrungrad as he is apparently British raised and very personable, does anyone have any experience with him that they could share? Samitivej Sukhumvit is a more convenient location for us, but for the right doctor we could go to Bumrungrad...

Thanks again.

Hi,

my wife and I have just found out that we are pregnant and are now actively searching the right Dr to help us out. How did you get on with your search? Any help, hints, tips you can pass on would be very grately appreciated. I understand you must now be extremely busy but I have absolutely no idea what i'm doing so any help would be wonderful.

Thanks in advance
