Took the laptop in for a memory upgrade yesterday and today neither I or the missus can open our hotmail accounts or face book.
Everything else seems ok.
I've cleared the firefox cache,history etc but still no go.
Is it my comp or is there a problem with Hotmail today?

Yaa Mong Keeow

Not sure if this should be in Language or the Health forum so I put it in General.
Had a local lady give me a massage a while back and she used a balm on my shoulder that she called 'yaa mong keeow'
ยาหม่องเขียว Basically means 'green balm'.
I told her I liked the smell so she left it with me in an un-labled container, she probably buys it in bulk and decants it as needed.
Eventually I ran out of the stuff so next time I was passing the chinese 'raan kai yaa' I bought a couple of jars.
Translating the label at home I discovered the main ingredient is 20 grams of เสลดพังพอนตัวเมีย which according to my dictionary means the phlegm of a female mongoose.
Sounds gross but it works.
I just wonder how angry you have make a female mongoose before she spits in a jar for you.

Luang Prabang To Chiang Khong

Had a quick search on here about the Mae Khong boat trips and can only seem to find info about those going downstream.
I've got a mate who wants to do the trip the other way around, Luang Prabang to Chiang Khong.
What time does immigration shut at Chiang Khong. He thinks the boat gets in around 4 pm and also needs to get to Chiang Mai that night.
I reckon he's pushing his luck a bit but he says he'll just toss $100 at a taxi driver and Bob's your uncle.
Anybody done this trip?
Any suggestions are welcome.

Extend 30 Day Stamp

When counting the 30 days permission to stay, does the arrival day count as day one of the 30 days?
I am back in Oz for a couple of months and have a mate here who is going to Thailand, arriving on the 19th of June, staying for 37 (or is it 38
) days with maybe a side-trip to Cambodia in that time.
No set plans yet but he's worried about overstaying his 30 day permission stamp.
According to this site a 30 day arrival stamp can be extended at immigration for 7 - 15 days.
I assume both options cost the same at 1,900bht
If he does make it to Cambodia what day will he have to return to LOS so he can fly out on the 26th of July without overstaying the border run 15 days. ( There's that day counting conundrum again)
