Hi,
I emailed the VFS about something using their 'contact us' section of their website.
The first email worked, they sent a very helpful reply.
I replied to it with a further question but it, and all the emails I've tried to send since, have been returned with the 'failed delivery' notification.
Has anyone else had a problem like this? Is there something (temporary, hopefully) wrong with their email system?
Cheers,
Biff

Quick Question About Photographs (Uk Family Visit Visa)
2011-08-15 21:18:28
Hi,
just a quick one,
does my wife need to get a photograph done to take with her as well as the one they will take during the biometrics process?
This might seem obvious but there's guidance regarding what kind of photos to submit and further mention of a digital photo being taken during the visit to the VFS to submit the application.

Bangkok Bank Internet Access
2011-08-01 22:03:19
Hi,
I opened an account with Bangkok Bank up in Chiang Rai province in June of this year. Whilst doing so I signed up for the internet banking facility.
In due course, the letter arrived at my wife's house with one part of the code needed to access the service.
I'm still waiting for the email containing the other part!
I'm currently in the UK, does anyone have any contact details that I can use to chase this up?
Cheers,
Biff

Uk Visa, Appointments At Vfs
2011-07-02 18:19:59
Hi, another quick question for you good people in this forum
After submitting the online application via the website. An appointment is booked, also online. Does anyone know, roughly, what kind of time frame we're looking at here? My wife will be travelling to Bangkok to stay with some friends of ours who will be helping her with the online application and general presentation of her application for a Family Visit Visa, and I'm trying to get a rough idea of how long she might have to wait for an appointment.
I've tried to look on the VFS website, but until you actually submit the application, or at least have a saved application, you cannot see the appointment scheduling.
I understand that any advice will only be an estimate, but I would like to know if it's feasible for her to stay in Bangkok or if she will have to go back up to Chiang Rai and then come all the way back again for the appointment.
Cheers,
Biff

My Wife'S Uk Visit Visa Application...
2011-07-01 17:14:45
Hi,
We're about to start getting all the paperwork together for my wife's visit visa and I've been contemplating all the necessary paperwork to support it.
I will be financially sponsoring the visit, paying for the ticket etc. My wife does not work for a company, she takes in work at home from a textile factory locally. Her main work is taking care of her two children and our home.
This lead me to the belief that I should show all the financial support I've given her over the last 18 months or so.
However, seeing that it's a visit visa, is it possible that we'll be overloading the application with records of financial support, proof of the length of the relationship etc?
It's a family visit visa we'll be applying for, which is why I thought it would be important to show the substance of our family finances, the thing is, all these records, printed out, fill up two great big folders! Half a tree's worth of paper!
Is all this too much? Would we be better off just showing my ability to pay for the visit rather than loading up the application with records from the past?
Advice appreciated
