My sincere regrets for the late reply.
The bomb depicted in the photo is non-electric. The bomber simply unscrewed a grenade trigger with initiator from a grenade body and built it into a disassembled radio.
It is a crude job, not sophisticated, indicative of poor expertise. Nonetheless, its simplicity is an advantage, and it appears to be a viable device that would indeed detonate once the pin was pulled and the spoon released.
Did anybody ever hear anything about the final disposition of these Iranians?
