Trouble With Kies After Upgrade To Android 4.0.3

Connect to my phone (Galaxy SII) - Kies notifies new firmware is available
Firmware upgrade to 4.0.3 worked like a charm.....
But that upgrade apparently did something bad to Kies.

As per usual I started my daily backup - Kies prepares backup - and suddenly this message pops up on the phone
unfortunately, wssyncmlps has stopped

Tested with Mac and Windows produces the same error. Backup is not possible.

Question 1: What has happened here and how can that be fixed?

Question 2: Any alternatives to Kies?

Imac Screen Turns Black

The screen turns black randomly for about half a second. Sometimes after 2h, sometimes after 10min.
After a restart it seems to work again normal but I have doubts it will last for long.
I have a second monitor attached which is not affected. So, I think it can't be the graphic card.
What could cause this issue and is there any fix available?

iMAC 27'
3.2 GHz Intel Core i3
4 GB 1333 MHz DDR3

Safari Issue

Since the upgrade to 5.1.1 the "Preferences-Extensions" panel shows blank.
Starting in safe mode panel content is visible.
After having uninstalled ALL extensions - panel shows blank. So, it's not an extension issue.
The issue seems to appear under Lion as well.

Any work-around/solution for this 'bug' is appreciated

Problems To Access Internet And Thaivisa

Since 1h I have problems to access websites and Thaivisa as well. I am currently in Thailand.

Do other members face the same problems?

Apple RAM is very expensive. Are more reasonable priced brands available in Thailand and which brand is recommended/compatible to use with miniMac, iMac?
Any shop in Bangkok has it?
