How much good does that do if   the security wants to inspect inside your baggage?
That's what I wonder about.  When you land, do you cut it off for customs?
Only if they request it-the main concern is that it has arrived safely and intact?

Yep.  The idea is to make sure nothing extra gets put in your luggage that YOU didn't put in there.  Don't want to be somebody's mule and be transporting something.  Also it can help any claim you have if something is found missing upon arrival at your destination and if the wrap is missing.  Take a photo at the check in desk and at the luggage on arrivals.

After watching a few episodes of "Locked up Abroad" recently on TV, I envision taking as many precautions as possible.  Usually I just travel with a carry on.  I keep an old large hard American Tourister suitcase around.  The one that used to be in the old TV commercial where the "Gorilla" would be cut in and shown tossing the luggage around as a bell hop or cabbie.  I still laugh at that.  Nothng against soft luggage, but when I bring my suitcase it is the rock.  Amazingly on one trip it somehow still got massively dented along the hinge line.  Takes quite a whack for that to happen.

Be prepared for her watching you watching the thai girls, and  giving you  hell if your eyes dwell too long.

my first thai gf, 15 years ago she is a really lovely, caring, well-educated person, also the one you can trust for 100% and very punctual with appointments, so not typical thai. but in public she was always controlling my eye movements, with every girl i looked at, she asked me with a funny face 'you want talk with her mai ?'  'she more beautiful then me mai, hihihi'...  a kind of strange, repeating jokes like she loved teasing me, but i learned it was a dam_n serious matter for her and I became totally bored of it because it never, never stopped. together with the daily trainloads of 'up to you's' the end was nigh. her self-fulfilling prophecy was a great fear for loosing me one day. now we are closest friends, she's like a sister.

Your fault for picking a jealous gf.

I feel anyone should be able to use them if they want to. I have used them for 8 weeks a couple of years back. After weighing the pro's and the cons and studying the risks. Now i don't feel that i need them but if someone wants it up to them.

But why ???? I go to the gym everyday (just about) and look after myself and what I eat and drink (everything in moderation). But I've never understood those people that pump themselves up to such alarming levels that they just become freaks. And if you're using drugs to support this then it seems crackers (to me).

Take one example from the news article: taking artifical TS will cause the body's glands that produce this hormone to reduce, if not shutdown, production - hence you're balls are going to shrink ! (Posted Image ). To me this seems to obviate one of the main reasons that people would want to cultivate the body beautiful i.e. become more attractive to the opposite sex.
They don't shrink if you know what you are doing. There is so much misinformation there that I don't know where to start.

It's a newspaper it needs to be sensational. Never mind about the truth it's better to scare people then to give out real information.

If you use it all the time it's harmful but there are so many users who use it in moderation with set protocols who never have problems. But you need to read and study a lot before you can even talk about this.

Governments love to scare people about how bad something is citing the worst possible outcome in unrealistic scenarios for many of the users.

I don't expect many people to understand because it's easier to condem.

I have used it as I stated for 8 weeks a couple of years back. I also did extensive research. But please don't let the truth stand in the way of a good story.

Why have Zyzz as a role model. Ripped at 21 yrs old, heart explodes at 22.

Live fast, die young, leave a pretty corpse.

Look at Schwarzenegger or Silvester Stallone. Both filled themself up with Steroids and didn't explode.

Drat.

Ask yourself the following question:

How many times have i seen drunk attacking someone versus how many times have i seen people on steroids attacking someone.

Also i haven't seen many bodybuilders robbing people to pay for their habit.

As for the damage to the body that is their own risk. If someone eat burgers and fat all the time and ends up with a stroke nobody complains. But the big bad steroids.

I feel anyone should be able to use them if they want to. I have used them for 8 weeks a couple of years back. After weighing the pro's and the cons and studying the risks. Now i don't feel that i need them but if someone wants it up to them.

This is an other point the finger at something that is not really a problem. Abuse will happen with any substance and only with a relative small amount of users. Roid rage as far as it is real is far less a problem then drunks attacking people.

The health risks of alcohol abuse are much higher so are those of smoking.

It is also possible that Mr Hoy was a victim of cultural differences, if you know what I mean. Being introduced to the judge as Mr (Insert your own term for female sexual organs) is not a great start to your defence.

And Farang still say Thai students are stupid. . . . . .
I can't believe it . . . .  I mean the Farang.

No they say most (not all Thai students) are stupid.... as a result of the crappy education system they are put through which sucks the curiosity, inventiveness and thirst for knowledge out of them. And replaces it with sociopolitical gibberish and nonsense.

Glad to see you back sparebox2

This survey is not believable.
U are right!

Correct, any college / university system that allows degrees to simply be bought should rant much further down the list.

It doesn't take a survey to come to the conclusion that most Thai universities are a joke. Any Thai who can afford it is educated abroad; simple fact.

400,000 tablets in 60 days.
If they work 24 hours a day that is close to 300 per hour.
Hats off if they can make that target.

#5284865 2 Out Of Three Thai Families Are In Debt: Survey

Posted noitom on 2012-05-09 08:48:50

They say that they surveyed 15 million families. My a--. That is a preposterous claim and the newspaper should take responsibility for not smoking out this ridiculous claim. Secondly, it's a shame that the content is allowed to be cited unchallenged. For example, "parents are so busy working to pay off the debts that they did not have time to "take proper care of their children."

Well, which came first , taking proper care and providing parenting, values, and skills to understand responsibility, accountability, fairness, achievement, knowledge, value of money, and hard work or frivolous and irresponsible spending to impress and cater to material self centered pompous attitudes? Which came first , the chicken or the egg? Putting the children off to grandma with no teeth so that a good time could be had and debts and obligations run up?

Or was it frivolous, unplanned, and ridiculous business schemes at the root of loan shark borrowing? It was this behavior that set the example for generations to follow. It was irresponsible parenting that came first. The sooner that Thais learn to take responsibility for their own behavior and actions the faster they will step toward change. Once they are able to stop making others responsible for their happiness, then we will see if they have time to develop themselves as well as their children.

I live down south, so well away from Bangkok, but even here, where the average wage would be say 12K per month many children in school (the lucky ones anyway) attend English, Maths, Mandarin and Art is also seen as being top priority. The extra education for these kids is at least 5000 per month and that does not include the 'extra tuition' after school that takes place in the school and costs 3000 per term. Why does a school that should be teaching children everything during the school day then extend its day until 5pm and almost force, via peer pressure the kids into attending. I point blank refused to have a 4 year old in school from 7.50am until 5pm, it is utter madness. I am told it is done to pay teachers salaries!

Of course it's used to pay teacher's salaries! The bulk of the money goes to the director's and head of EP's pockets - duh!

In any case, nothing will happen. The lowly Phrai can't change a thing. The only thing they will do is protest -- oh wait no -- they have to be PAID to protest! Thailand is the perfect model for modern day slavery. People just do as they're told by those with more money than them.
