I was in and out in less than two hours. The cost for both licenses was 1060 Baht, that included 100 for a "smart card" for each license. Just to clarify, my Birthday is next month. There seems to be a lot of differing opinions as to when you can renew. I went in to the transportation office last week to check. I was told by them that up to 3 months early is acceptable. In fact on looking on the back signature side of the license in Thai it states that 3 months early is acceptable. My five year old laminated license was issued in Bangkok, today I renewed in Rayong. I needed two (total 500 Baht)statements of residence from immigration, one for each license. As separate applications are needed for each license, I provided two copies of passport and visa pages and copies of my old laminated licenses(front and back) Easier than dealing with the DMV in California.

Does anyone have a resent experience with either of these companies? I am going to Koh Tao for a week. I will be leaving my car parked in Chumphon during the week. Almost all reviews I have found of Lomprayah are negative. I have not seen any resent reviews of Songserm. It looks as if Seatran no longer leaves from Chumphon. Any input will be appreciated.

We are flying out late next month very early morning. Any positive input regarding hotels near the Airport  would be very much appreciated. Likewise our return will be at 1:00 AM so we will use the same hotel for our return. Ideally the hotel would have a reliable shuttle to and from the Airport. If they have car parking as well it would be helpful.

We are at that point in our house construction. 3 phase has been OK'd by the PEA. It will give plenty of room for expansion in the future. Is Square D the only supplier? does safe-t-cut offer an all in one 3 phase load center?
Advice will be very much appreciated.

A friend of mine is looking for a both a doctor, and a hospital. His right knee is overdue for replacement. He resides in Thailand and is willing to travel throughout Thailand. He is not on a tight budget, however cost is always a consideration. If any members have a positive doctor/ hospital experience please post your replies or send me a PM
