In Topic: Lightning Protection Device

I use Belkin power strips all over our office (some of them this model) but I mostly use them because they actually work with all plugs and most importantly the plugs don't fall out like on the 100 baht Thai power strips.

I wouldn't trust anything to protect against a lightning strike, I think there has been several discussions on here already about how to protect from lightning and I seem to remember that the result is the same every time, that nothing can protect you 100%.

Good to know though about this warranty, but this being Thailand I would like to see someone get the damaged gear refunded before I believe it :)

There is a nice hotel/B&B on the way between Cha-am and Hua Hin. At the beach close to some of the big hotels down there.
If you google beach terrace cha-am I'm sure it should come up, I've had quite a few friends talk about it as being good and fairly priced.

In Topic: What Happens For Song Khran In Hua Hin

Usually (I'm guessing this year as well) there is a Songkran parade with floats, pickups and lots of people going around town, tt does not go down Bintabaht though. I believe the route of the parade is something along the lines of it starting at the railway station, going down towards the intersection but turning left (I suck at roadnames) into the road that crosses the nightmarket in the middle, goes all the way to the end there and turns right down across the intersection and onto Soi 55 (Chomsin Road), goes all the way to the end there and then turns right at the pier going to Hilton.
One year we were walking with the parade and one year we were at a place on Soi 55, both were great fun. The parade is at such a slow pace so even if you walk with it you have plenty of time to stop and even sit down somewhere and see some of the floats pass by and then catch up again.

Have a look in some of the Hua Hin papers/magazines, there are usually plenty of ads for webdesigners in there. But if you are looking for something modern looking you will have to be picky in Hua Hin, the majority of the lot here are not exactly cutting edge designs :)
