I have no idea why people would put much stalk in such nonsense.

Please don't tell anyone about the Mayan Calendar.  Heaven only knows what will happen.

Too late!! My wife asked me if I believe in the Mayan calendar! We're all doomed!

I can remember seeing a Swastika badge on the shirt of a BTS station cashier/clerk a few months ago. You can see them on bags , T-shirts, Even on the painted company buses that are everywhere, Clearly WW2 was something missing from the ciriculum in Thailand

The swastika is a religious symbols, don't mix it up with the nazi swastika. See the link in my earlier post.

As far as I know you're wrong. Yes the swastica LOOKS like a religious symbol, but the Nazis were good at corruption - the swastica is actually the REVERSE of the religious symbol.

I agree with Farang0tang - this is getting out of hand. The chances of it being malignant are virtually nil!! - and yes, I have diagnosed a nail with a squamous cell carcinoma below it! It's a fungal nail for goodness sake! Yes there are other reasons for nails becoming deformed such as dropping the whisky bottle on it when you're pissed, kicking a brick etc, but the bottom line is the matrix becomes deformed/infected. Partial nail avulsion wher the sides only are removed permanently look awful! -  and when I do nail surgery yes I inject a local analgesic - you DON'T inject an anaesthetic into the toes - and I destroy the matrix (see my earlier post). Not to do so would be a BIG mistake - it would only grow back again looking a lot worse. I should know - I've been a UK podiatrist for over 40 years.

I wonder where this would leave me. I married a younger Thai lady in a Buddhist ceremony last year - note no civil ceremony. She came to the UK in September of last year and we married here in February. She now has her Biometrics card to stay here for a further 2 years, but we intend to return to Thailand once I fully retire which is only two or so years down the line. Perhaps I should see about getting her passport changed to reflect our marriage status here in the UK.
