I had a place already in Phuket Town so they agreed to drive me there in a car. The normal bus from the southern bus terminal goes directly there and stops in Phuket Town, and you can get a songteow or a tuktuk in to one of the beaches or a boat to ko phi phi.

would the taxi fee be very high going from the hotel in bangkok to the bus termial? i know that bangkok is notorious for traffic and a 700 fee is probably not unheared of
