I will be coming off the tollway behind Bumrungrad, so not going to go drive to a bts parking station just so I can catch the train back in......plus will be leaving around 10pm, so dun wanna then go catch a train and drive to the tollway entries when the one at Suk ) is close and convenient.

Needs to be around that soi's 0 to 19 on either side.......used to park above Vila soi 11, but they started to charge a huge amount last time we were there, 200b or something ridiculous for not even 3 hours from memory.
I second BigJohnnyBKK's Soi 7 alternative. I always parked here when I went for a quick meal, though they always tried to charge me 50 baht even though the first hour is only 20 baht (I made sure I came back within the hour).

The real cheapster alternative is to park at Bumrungrad, it's completely free...

Bahaha, that is so funny.... you haven't got a clue about this, do you...?

The 4th shift is the shift where all of your QA guys go for a beer and your supplier pounds out thousands of clones of your product, often using the same equipment and materials they use to make the legitimate products for you.  Yeah, I do have a clue.

lol

If you want to learn something I suggest you simply ask, there are people on here with great knowledge in this matter.

A well made clone from the 4th shift (Google it) can be "more right" for someone than a genuine set.
A well made clone from the 4th shift...?

Rsquared,
I feel your pain - I had exactly the same feeling when I arrived in Thailand. The key to this pain is to host the community yourself. What I mean is you will have to be the driving force rather than expecting someone else to pull the weight.

I advise you to simply start organizing these local weekend tournaments yourself. As someone else mentioned, there are plenty of these tournaments and social groups in Bangkok and Pattaya. Typically they started as small groups of people who regularly met in a bar or similar. In Bangkok there are pubs where you'd be able to meet hundreds of golfers. Some of them play for fun, while others are very competitive. The latter usually have a number of very competent golfers with hcp's ranging from scratch to lower single digits, like the backtee boys where they sometimes have players that are pro's.

In your case you'll have to be the person who is the founder of such a group. The only other solution is that you start playing the wide range of amateur tournaments around Thailand, but then you would have to travel. I'm sure though that you'll be able to connect with players of similar competitive mindset.

You mentioned that there is no formal golf association in Thailand, but there is of course such organisation. http://www.tga.or.th/

Good luck.

She has her own business, which I paid for.
She owns 2 shop-houses in Pattaya, which I paid for.
She owns another house in the village, which I paid for.
She owns a 10 year old Nissan that I paid for.
She also owns one other house in the village.

Most of her income comes from renting out one of the shop-houses, as well as renting the 2 houses in the village.
Her first ex-husband also gives her 5,000 baht per month for his 2 children and 50,000 baht from me.
...
Her business generates peanuts, so I think that she will be better off if she moves out to the village and then she can generate more rental income.
"She" owns these properties....?
Sounds to me like those properties were acquired during your marriage...? If that's the case you are entitled to half of it. Or as Eddie Murphy would put it "half of her shit!"

Contact a Thai law firm and secure your half quickly, or at least you'll have a good argument to make her sign the divorce documents...
