Hi,
I have a friend who's using his Japanese passport (cause he hasnt gotten a Thai one yet) and I'm trying to figure out what he needs to do. From what I can understand he got a 30 day entry stamp on arrival. Now he wants to stay longer (he's visiting his grandmother and brother). He has 15 days left to figure it out. I also think he's been doing border crossing at Mae Sot but not sure.
Info so far -
Japanese citizen
Entry stamp upon arrival in Thailand.
Wants to stay longer.
I'm pretty sure you cant extend entry stamps. So I told him to make a visa run to VTE for a tourist visa for 60 days (then he can extend it at immigration for another 30). During these 60 days he will be working on getting his Thai citizenship she he never has to do this again. lol
He cant get a Non Imm O visa because he doesnt have the paper work needed or wont get it in time within 15 day.
I just wanted to see what you guys and gals think and to confirm or tell me I'm wrong in my advice to him.
Thanks,
Yunnie

Salon Products

Hi I'm looking for a place that sells professional grade hair products.
- hair bleach
- toner
- developer
- dye: in bright colors like Pink, blue, purple and such. (in little bottle not the all in 1 box kind at carrefour
)
Also would prefer Wella or L'Oreal brand. If someone can point in the right direction that would be wonderful.

Henna Available In Chiang Mai?
2010-06-29 01:52:38
I'm looking for a shop or place that sells natural Henna powder. Preferably in bulk/big bag. - I want some for hair coloring/ conditioning and mehndi. Or possibly direct me to an Indian shop.
Also someone mentioned a store that sells essential oils some where on Thapae road or The road the walking street is on. Can someone tell me where exactly they are or even map it... like what dave does for everyone needing directions. lol
Thanks

In Need Of A Decent Place To Study At.
2010-06-20 13:04:09
I'm finding that staying on campus is starting to make me claustrophobic. I was wondering if anyone knows of some decent places to go hand out/ study at. Normally I go to Wawee across from Carrefour cause its close and I;m lazy. lol. Also I notice Pantip plaza's 4th floor is decent and noisy enough for background noise. Carrefour complex is just too crowded and noisy. Kad suan Kaew is just too far.
Pretty much I'm looking for - Air con place, with internet, decent food in or near by (and dont mind me eating/studying it in there for a few hours), outlets, slight big clean tables, and a CLEAN restroom in building...
