When I first moved to Surin I made the mistake of posting on another forum how badly I was treated by staff at Farang Connection and how bad their meals were. Many locals thought I had no right to speak my mind and tell the truth and I was shouted down in no uncertain terms. I guess out of misguided loyalty for the previous owner, Martin. I will admit I have taken great pleasure in seeing the demise of the Farang Connection over the last few years and it now appears that I am not Robinson Crusoe. Sunee, ( The current owner) does not deserve one cent of your hard earned money. I could write 3000 words about why you should go nowhere near this place (but this post will only be deleted so I won't bother), so I ask that you trust me and the other posters on this thread and give the place a wide berth. It really does reflect badly on Surin, there is so much better on offer. The sooner the place is sold ( Not at the price she's asking) or closes it's doors the better. Don't say you haven't been warned.

Hi Jaideeguy
Nice to see you are getting around to looking at the pool at last. LOL
It seems obvious that your well water is very high in calcium, which has caused the scale. It is good that you have identified the problem and have a way around it.
Ok. To answer your questions.
Usually on a badly scaled pool we would drain the water and then acid wash the walls directly. Dilute the acid 10:1 and apply it directly to the walls with a watering can or the like and start scrubbing. It is a horrible messy job but usually very effective. Hose it all down, scoop as much out as you can and then refill the pool straight away. However the process I described before works very well also.
The acid will remove the calcium long before it has had time to attack the grout to any degree. The trick is to only leave the acid in the pool water until it has done the job of removing the scale. Whether that is 1 day or 3 will vary from pool to pool depending how entrenched the scale has become. Just remember to keep scrubbing.
No real need to vac to waste or chlorinate beforehand just be sure to super chlorinate after refilling the pool with about 2kg chlorine for an 85000L pool.
I personally would pour the whole 20L into the pool and start brushing straight away. Keep an eye on it and drain it as soon as the job is done. There is no ideal pH for cleaning calcium, any pH below 7 will absorb calcium. The lower the pH the faster the rate of reaction and the quicker the job is done.
In a nutshell, just pour the 20L acid in and start brushing. Drain the pool when the walls are scale free. Easy. You won't hurt anything as long as you dont leave it more than a few days.

A 30 second google search shows there is an authorised Canon service centre in Khon Kaen. There is a map and contact details on Canon's Thailand webpage under customer care. http://goto.canon.co...00,0.000000.jpg and http://www.canon.co....4722,102.833611
In Topic: Using Iphone Sim Card In Usb Air Card?

You don't need an aircard. Your Iphone IS an aircard. All you do is plug the phone into the laptop, or connect through bluetooth and you can access the net through your phone. All you need is an appropriate sim card with a data package that suits your usage. True are good and certainly very knowledgable on Iphones. I took a friend into True last month who wanted to use his iphone for internet on his laptop and they configured everything and connected him on the spot. Saved him from having to buy an aircard and use two Sim cards.
In Topic: Will My Jailbroken Ipad / Iphone4 4.2.1 Work In Thailand?

Jailbreaking and unlocking are two very different things. A jailbroken phone allows unauthorised applications to be used on the phone, it does not allow unauthorised carriers to work. You should be able to unlock 4.2.1 if you have an Iphone 3g or 3gs. Please do a google search for " unlock 4.2.1" and you will find step by step instructions. At this stage an Iphone 4 running 4.2.1 can not be unlocked as it uses a different baseband. An unlock should be available in the next month or so.
