I come back to bangkok on friday(from greece)but this time around i'd prefer to find a backpackers place a bit nearer to the above locations
I stayed last year in a hostel near the thong lo skytrain station and though it was good it was still a good few stops from silom
Anyone know of any hostels offering dormitory axxomodation near the above???
Theres another hostel near asok station but again thats also a bit further out of the centre than i'd prefer

Tourist Visa Options/Prices

I pay yet another visit to thailand in mid january but as visa rules and regulations change regularly i have one or 2 questions
1 There is of course 30 day visa available at the airport upon arrival but how many times can one repeat this methord of arrival
2 The 60 day visa(which was available free of charge in early 2011)is undoubtedly the best option but what is the current price
Thanks in advance......

Cheap Accomodation In Bangkok

OTHER THAN KOH SARN ROAD AREA!!!
Want to give this particular area a miss for my next visit in january,2011 but were to stay that will offer budget accomodation
Earlier this year(between january and april)i stayed on and off in a hotel room that was air coditional,en suitenhad a cable tv in the room, etc all for 300 baht a night and i'm at a loss were to look for anything in another area that would even be remotely comparable
My preference would be in the silom area or the area around the siam square/national stadium area or failing that somewere within 3 or 4 skytrain stops of those areas

Health Care:Thai V European

I'm currently in the west of ireland and was having a long discussion about the quality of health care in se asia in general and thailand in particular as opposed to health care in say ireland or the uk
I've only ever had relatively minor dental treatment when in the region and no need at all for doctor or hospital care and of course private care in thailand would be far cheaper than anything you could get in the west but how would the regions compare in terms of quality???
The thai hospitals i've passed by have looked ultra modern to me and i'm guessing the quality of treatment in the 2 regions would be of a similar quality but maybe someone with more experience than myself could shed more light on it
