  1. She fell asleep at the wheel handlebars.
  2. Reminds me of the Two Ronnies, at the end of a tv episode: "As they say in Korea, remember, a dog isn't just for Christmas. With any luck there'll be some left over for Boxing Day too."
  3. They got a special deal from the manufacturers of the monitoring tags, the same company they bought the GT200s from.

    5G SmartGrid Rollout

No problem unless you set up home right next to a base antenna. If you've got a dual-band router at home, you're already living in a 5GHz microwave field, and if you can see ships at sea, you're likely being blasted with 10GHz narrow pulses of 10kW or more from the radars. Nothing to worry about.
  5. How many innocent people were convicted on the 'evidence' provided by these bogus devices, and how many of them are still languishing in jail?
  6. Change it to a currency that's appreciating from one that's sliding down the pan.
  7. I thought the cables were there to hold the poles up, not the other way round.
  8. Definitely! However, bear in mind that commercial tv isn't free. A proportion of what you spend in the supermarket, and elsewhere, goes to pay for the adverts. Admittedly though, the way the BBC is funded is well past its sell-by date. And by the way, the dog licence was done away with about 50 years ago.
  9. £147 a year is a small price to pay for quality tv without any <deleted> adverts!

    New RAM or new laptop?

Cleaning the RAM module edge connectors with isopropyl alcohol is my method. Less chance of static damage to the chips than using the rubber.
  11. What's the problem? I though dual pricing for farangs was the norm in Thailand.

Dogging in a restaurant. Whatever next?

Rat caught on camera taking a shower like a human

Behind mozzies which deserve to be first in the queue.
  14. Pattaya... The trees along the beach side of Beach Road are festooned with yellow lights, a number of which are damaged or missing. Taking a closer look at a busted one, reveals that these consist of six LEDs, and several components which enable each of them to be powered directly from 230V ac mains. Live components are therefore exposed. Besides this hazard, the empty lamp sockets also have live exposed contacts. Sooner or later someone's going to get zapped.
  15. I had the dubious pleasure of visiting Minsk three years ago. I can assure you that all the bs involved when both entering and leaving the country remains the same, if not worse. Swampy's a breeze in comparison.
