  1. Clearly the US ship didn't have someone up in the crows nest. Maybe installing radar would help.
  2. Nice to see you....to see you......nice! R.I.P Brucie, a legend of British TV.
  3. New Tyres for Vios?

Yes, CM Sent from my iPad using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
  4. New Tyres for Vios?

I had four brand new (this years date on the side) Continental tyres (German brand) fitted to my Vios earlier this year, Local independent shop, 1,300 baht each, girl there rounded it up to 5000 baht all in.
  5. Late payment to 3bb

I once paid our bill in a 7/eleven on the due date. The next bill i received was double our normal monthly rate. We queried it at a 3bb shop showing them the receipt and they checked an confirmed that they had received payment but it hadn't gone through in time when the next bill was generated. How many days that was I'm not sure but we never got cut off. Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect
  6. Thai Girl's Top 5 Needs When Buying A Home.

My wife never really mentioned what she required from our home apart from an outside kitchen and that was built as an afterthought. I paid, so pretty much everything was up to me even down to the furniture. Even the location, which is in the same village as her family was my suggestion.
  7. Office number 3. What each individual office does is written in the window in English and Thai. Sent from my iPad using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
  8. I arrived at 6am about 10 days ago for my marriage extension and at that time there were not many people in any of the queues. I'm not sure which office is for non B visas, but if it is office 2 which is for students/teachers then by 7am there was maybe 6 people in the queue. Some of the stools had bags on when I arrived but no people.
  9. If the youth can't be educated in road safety then there is no real hope for future improvements.
  10. a/c versus fans

I'm fully aware that what we do will not suit everyone, and in fact I know plenty of people local to us who could not live without their AC running every night. It is just what we have got use to.
  11. a/c versus fans

We don't have AC in our bedroom. We just open the window, close the bug screens and use the ceiling fan. With the exception of about a 6 week period around April/May we are never uncomfortable and on many occasions I actually turn the fan off in the small hours because it is too cold.
  12. Same Old Same Old

I think the strength of the baht is having an effect on the lamyai price this year. A huge percentage of the harvested fruit is exported to places like China, whether fresh, canned or dried. I can't believe that in the space of one year there is now double the amount of produce being sold at local markets. Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect
  13. I treat everyone with respect....especially if they don't deserve it, just to see the look on their face. Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect
  14. Dear oh dear. Yes, the Vios was attempting an illegal and selfish manoeuvre but the taxi driver was a fair way back and could have let him in.....couldn't he? Yet another example of the daily knuckle draggers ball.... Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect
