  1. More Wi-Fi hotspots for Phuket as plan to tag tourists mulled

Good idea. The next step should be to micro chip all long term expats.
  2. This monkey has clearly been trained to climb trees and pick coconuts. Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect
  3. There is always going to be the augment that whatever the Thai authorities change with regards to the punishment for drink driving (or any other motoring misdemeanor for that matter) nothing will ever change. For a long time now I, like many have felt the fines for these offences are to put it mildly a bit on the low side. It is my opinion that it you really want to reduce the number of drink drivers then these fines have to fit the crime and be significantly higher than they currently are. I'm talking a minimum of 200,000 baht per offence and if you can't pay it then assets like your vehicle should be sold off to meet the costs. At the end of the day there are no decent people that drink and drive, only total scumbags and these people should have no place in any civilized society.
  4. Tapper Beer at 7 11

My local village shop has just started selling this beer at 55 baht a can. I'm always keen to try new beers so I bought a couple and I'm drinking it as I type this post. Nice, I'm impressed. I'm curious, were did you purchase a 12 pack? I've not seen it sold in any of the big players. Sent from my iPad using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
  5. I thought that as well, but it's just not clear enough to be sure.
  6. There have been many times I have been forced to move out of the way of oncoming vehicles here in Thailand, but I don't think I have witnessed anything quite as ludicrous as this. This is beyond being selfish or dangerous.
  7. What a man! The mere fact that way back in 1963 he was given two years to live is remarkable in itself, but to achieve everything that he did against all the odds is truly phenomenal. A true legend R.I.P
  8. I would have thought that this previous, truly horrific incident should have been more than enough for her to be locked away in some sort of maximum security psychiatric facility for the rest of her days.
  9. Universal criticism? Yeah, like he's the only person who's guilty of this. Pot meets kettle.
  10. 13 things I miss about living back in the UK

Apart from a pint or two of real ale sipped outside a quaint country pub during a long summer evening and a proper English ruby murray there is very little I miss about England. Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect
  11. That's not what I said. I made the point that if you leave valuable items unattended, in a busy public environment whether by a one-off mistake or just generally being naive, you've only got yourself to blame if it goes missing. There are too many opportunists out there. Sent from my iPad using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
  12. Why do these losers keep giving us Farangs a bad name? Having said that, if you are stupid enough to leave you phone unattended on a table in the middle of a busy bar then you can't really complain when it goes missing.
  13. I can honestly say that after nine years living in a Thai village I have never been scammed or had any personal experience of corruption. But I do have a habit of saying no to pretty much everything. Sent from my iPad using Thaivisa Connect
  14. You can see in the video that he doesn't look!!! His head is at no point turned to the right, he doesn't slow down, he just rides straight out into the flow of traffic. Denied negligence? This is manslaughter in my book.
