  1. Van to Aran

If going to Cambodia for an in-out, Ban Laem is better. Poipet is unreliable.
  2. Songkhran in Ban Chang

Tessabaan Officials told me 19th for Phala beach. Good sales from visiting Thais down there ... keep it going. Hoping to stretch the fun to include the coming weekend. Worried about impending thunderstorms but beach sales have been good from outside Thais (Bangkok car numberplate) this year.

  4. British man beats  wife to death in Ubon Ratchathani

  5. British man beats  wife to death in Ubon Ratchathani

Why does LOS attract some many English scum? I blame Brexit.
  6. British man beats  wife to death in Ubon Ratchathani

Nonsense. She wouldn't have sex with him !!
  7. British man beats  wife to death in Ubon Ratchathani

Agreed. He will be 'dealt with' in prison ... oh, suicide
  8. He chose an overseas hospital. Up to him. Why you care?
  9. Road accidents much higher than in 2017

Good comment. It is what it is. Just enjoy Thainess and stop comparing with "back home".
  10. "Aussie language" teacher .... how did he get work permit? Thai policy is to encourage native English speakers, "Strine" is a slang form of English, as we all know.
  11. Same same for Royal Thai Govt. Restrict the alien undesirables. Logical.
  12. For TOT Fibre users

What package, what time, what is your location?
  13. I would have simply changed the tilak !!
  14. Welcome to Thailand Whitey. All foreigner rich! 555
  15. Dry Cleaning in Ban Chang

I agree with BG ... it's called "Popular Dry Cleaning" ... fast and reliable (from my only 8 years patronage)
  16. Ok here's the website link. International flights serve China, Macao, KL and Russia http://www.utapao.com/inter.html Here's the flightradar site showing current arrivals and departures https://www.flightradar24.com/data/airports/utp Up to you to research where you want to go. Thanks. You're welcome
  17. Congrats on your marriage and the rosy report on your visa success. Wish you all the best :)
  18. If you are stopped by traffic police @ Pattaya

What exactly is this "new practice"? can you provide a link?
  19. Yes, it's minivan (some locals just call it 'wann'). 'Lot' or 'Rot' is general word for a vehicle; 'Too' or 'Dtuu' means a container or box. So, Rot Too = a box-like vehicle to cram people into, lol. Ask to stop at Lowtut Yai (or Lowtat Yai) (yai=big=the Big Lotus store). After that, be prepared to be highly praised - "Oho farang phut Thai dee maak", 555.
  20. Restaurants In Ban Chang / Rayong

I also enjoy the place . Comment supplied to get our Eastern Thailand forum woken up. We are all so content. Nothing new guys??
  21. Road rage is nothing special in the Thailand context. It is a world wide virus. To get some perspective have a look at YouTube bad driving videos from Russia or USA. In Thailand just keep aware 24/7 and observation 360 degrees. When my Thai wife is driving she is always commenting "ai baa, ai ngor" (<deleted> stupid drivers) but that's how it is. TIT.
  22. Spot on. Sounds like a new senior IO. Keep jai yen and ask how your misunderstanding can be resolved. You are the guest, remember. TIT.
  23. Is it Time to Wave Goodbye to the Honda

First upgrade the bike with Man Utd stickers ... Red Devils ... do it quickly before Man City keeps winning. And respray to red. That lime green really sucks!
  24. Agree with LannaGuy. My Thai brother-in-law has spent time in the monkhood. I asked him and he just shook his head and said "Sorry Khun Roy, it is outside true Buddhism but 'modern' people want these things and some temples let them play with it. Temple can earn money."
  25. UK visit visa - warnings

    Noted and understood
