  1. I agree. The whole charade of setting election timeframes and then manufacturing excuses to change the roadmap is exhausting and Prayut is jealous that North Korea doesn't have to play these games.
  2. I agree. That attitude is as corrupt as the junta that he so fervently support. Sent from my SM-J710F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
  3. In mid june the BP reported that 92000 people had answered the questions. Since prayut has been very productive on the poetry front since that time, either he has not read all, or possibly the numbers have been slightly overstated? 4. Anti-corruption centres now taking complaints

And like in all government offices, will be happy to do their job and take your complaint, for a small "fee" of course.
  5. "“President Trump’s invitation to Prime Minister Prayuth still stands. We look forward to Prime Minister’s visit to Washington, DC, once a suitable date is chosen." That is basically a diplomatic way of saying "don't call us, we'll call you."
  6. "With the budget earmarked at 179.41 billion baht..." Let the plundering begin!
  7. THAI aims to be world's No 1 MRO center

    Thailand makes almost weekly claims of achieving world's number one status in various areas, but so far I think have achieved only one: http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/thailand-named-most-adulterous-country-world-1488513 Most Adulterous countries top ten: 1. Thailand- 56% 2. Denmark -46% 3. Germany- 45% 4. Italy-45% 5. France- 43% 6. Belgium- 40% 7. Norway-40% 8. Spain-39% 9. Finland-36% 10. United Kingdom-36%
  8. How things change in 2 years: 2015 speech by Prayut: "The new cabinet will, therefore, work to ensure the execution of these policies, bolster people and investors’ confidence, formulate clear measures to bring concrete results, and work on the basis of transparency. We will do our best to assure that results are tangible in all aspects. Every project must be transparent and free of corruption." http://www.thaiembassy.org/islamabad/en/news/4251/59655-National-Broadcast-by-General-Prayut-Chan-o-cha,-P.html 2017: The Cabinet had already resolved to exempt the project, which will be developed in Klong San in Bangkok, from regulations requiring bids, How exactly is this government any better than the last? I though the entire justification of the coup was that the previous government acted without transparency and was corrupt.
  9. I would agree with that assessment. Swampy is an average airport and doesn't deserve to be rated in the bottom. If they fixed inbound and outbound immigration queues, and spent a little bit on cosmetic maintenance, it would be a decent airport. Thai Economy Class is also ok with a good level of service. Some of the planes are a bit worn and could use renovation. However, what the reward does not reflect is the value. If you also include price in the assessment, Thai Airways would not be number one. I fly regularly to North America and Thai Airways never shows up on the first page of results sorted by price. They are usually $1000 CDN higher than other decent airlines.

  11. Concerned? I don't think so. Just another carefully orchestrated delay. This is similar to the initial constitution game they played. Make a law so unpopular that politicians will accept further delay, and then introduce, after a long delay, the law that was intended. Sent from my SM-J710F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
  12. Take a walk down the main beach on samed after dark, and you will see a pipe going from each resort into the ocean, discharging raw sewage. The water may appear clear, but swim at your own risk. Sent from my SM-J710F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
  13. Really no different than the Jersey mafia putting their soldiers on the payroll of construction sites but doing no work. This government has just legitimized corruption. So much for reforms. Sent from my SM-J710F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
  14. This 4 question exercise is utter nonsense pandering only to junta sycophants. The only feedback will be what the junta wants to hear and will use to push the elections once again. Sent from my SM-J710F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
  15. I think this 18 year old expressed how many in this country are feeling: Prayuth, she said, is “a funny guy, so I’m not overthinking his comments.” A very fitting comment... Sent from my SM-J710F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
