  1. Well I never!

I'm 66 years old.. and discovered that arrow about the same age as you! Ha Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  2. Khanom vs Phang-nga

Khanom. Sawadee! Beautiful 3km long Beach to walk on.. Spotless outside if rain season. High season now has brought in tons of foreigners.. I saw at least 5 in the beach today AND maybe 10 more at tonight's Night Market! 555. Enough coffee shops.. 2 with aircon.. Farang food choices.. Beautiful weather.. No air pollution. 49 minutes to Don Sak pier for boats to the islands. 90 minutes to surat thani Airport. Complaints are.. It's sometimes too small.. So I travel every month or two. Zero nightlife...double edged sword there.
  3. An and conversion USD rate

Sorry about the subject title typo... Uups.
  4. Wow.. Such a big surprise with SCB bank. Last week I withdrew 20.000 thb at the atm from my USA capital one bank.. I agreed to let USB "do the conversion at SCB Bank" and my account was debited about 682 USD. TODAY.. same atm.. "Let my USA bank do the conversion". .. My USA account was debited 644 usd. 38 usd "stolen" by USB bank in Thailand. Just a heads up to you all... However many of you may already know this 55. Live and learn.
  5. I have been living retired between Mexico and Thailand for 3 years now. In some parts of Mexico one has to be extra careful for being a victim of crime. In Thailand I really have to be super super careful about being in the roads.. Whether walking (I was hit at slow speed once while walking on the side of the road) or riding a motorbike or driving my car. I am leaning more and more to more time in Mexico.. Whether I am the victim of a knife attack, gunshot or road accident, dead is dead! I also feel far more welcome in Mexico. I think I missed Thailands HayDays by 10 years or more. 6. New crackdown sees darts BANNED in Pattaya

Absolutely ridiculous and an embarrassing fact that I am choosing to live here! Meanwhile in Thailand... Road rage is over the top, driving is causing so much carnage, cops are useless (exactly what is thier job description?), tourism infrastructure is pathetic and overloaded. I'll stop at that..but the list is long, however dartboard licence? Un f'ing believable. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  7. I strongly disagree! The driver.. Should have gone up to the girl.. Held her hand.. and comforted her! As it happens this girl (could be any one of daughter!) is in ok shape. This might have been her final moments and not one <deleted> person came to to comfort her. To me... this is inexcusable.. and frankly disgusting and offensive to many close to her I would imagine. 8. It must must be frustrating for you being so far away. I am very happy to hear that your step daughter seems to be able to make a full recovery over the coming days or weeks. Good wishes to you and your Thai family. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  9. I watched the video. I heard the screeching brakes! What a liar the driver is! She obviously was in a hurry.. Dodged out of one lane.. Into the other... Wham.. Innocent girl there.. Waiting for red light? I hope that driver is off the road forever. She showed zero remorse at the scene.. Shameless idiot. Makes my blood boil. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
  10. Airport JAIL!

Refused entry to Thailand. Ok fine fine.. whateeever. But not allowing him to leave? I smell a rat.. they must know he has some money and need an angle to get at his money! Today is Saturday.. so I hope he has been able to leave? yes?
  11. "will not only be arrested but have all their wealth confiscated by the authorities, he said." For who? I guy who overstays a few weeks or the man that committed a serious crime? Or.. Same same? Unfair.
  12. "With trees on the left and the white pick-up blocking his path a collision was inevitable." How about using the brake under his foot? Combine that with lower the speed. Combined with using your <deleted> head! Still probably a collision.. but slower...
  13. Am I dreaming? Three years living in Thailand and I am hearing common sense and honest observations from a thai government official? Amazing Thailand! Yehhhhhhhh!

  15. Motorbike accident advice...please help

5555 a Dream.. A collectors item? 555... absolute rubbish. Get it fixed yourself. Then go about your business. The total bike value is probably around 8.000. Sent from my SM-G935F using Tapatalk
