  1. Having a minor issue with an HP laptop. Any reliable local repairers, preferably English speaking? Sent from my SM-G610F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
  2. I have a UK drivers license and an international license. I also have a Thai work permit. How do I get a Thai drivers license? Is it easier to get it done in Pattaya (I live in Banchang)? Thanks in advance.
  3. I'm not taking it on a plane, its being shipped by sea with a bunch of personal possessions.
  4. Thinking about buying a barbecue in the UK and bringing it back. Is the gas bottle connector going to be the same as the gas bottles in Thailand? If not, is it possible to buy adaptors? Thanks in advance.
  5. Getting Finance of a Secondhand Car in Banchang?

Thanks. What is the address or location?
  6. Thanks guys. I'm in Rayong. Will try TT Exchange.
  7. No, I haven't lived in the UK for 20 years and have no financial ties to it. I do, however, have family.
  8. I'm going back to the UK in a couple of weeks. I'll be there about three weeks. What's the best way to change Baht for Pounds? I'm assuming the options are; 1. Transfer Baht from my Thai bank account to my UK bank account 2. Use my Thai debit card (Mastercard) 3. Use my Thai credit card (also Mastercard) 4. Go to a money changer in Pattaya and change Baht to Pounds Thoughts? Trying to do it as cheaply as possible. I need to take about £5000 home. Thanks in advance
  9. Does anybody buy medical insurance when they go back to the UK? Our situation is complicated by the fact that three of my family are dual citizens of the UK and a non-EU country. The other member of our family is from a non-EU country. I know GPs are free and are emergency services. Thoughts of getting additional coverage? Where do you buy it from? Thanks in advance.
  10. Ban Chang Playground for Kids

Om Payoon Road between Sukhumwit and the bypass there is a playground (but watch out for the read ants), a playground and a pool. On the west side nearer the bypass.
  11. Getting Finance of a Secondhand Car in Banchang?

    That could be a problem..........
  12. This is specific to Banchang, or perhaps Rayong. Are there any reliable trustworthy car dealers where I could get financing on a second hand car. Looking in the 300,000 Baht range. I'm currently renting, but would prefer to buy. Thanks in advance.
  13. Run out of xxxxxxxx

There's one Ban Chang restaurant that proudly announces on FaceBook that they have run out of food by about 2pm every Sunday. I always feel like suggesting that perhaps they should buy more stock, thus, making more money and not having to turn away disappointed customers!
  14. Plywood shipping crates

If it's 100kg stick it in cheap suitcases, or even well wrapped card boxes and take it as excess luggage. It'll be far cheaper, you won't have to deal with import issues and there won't be fumigation issues. I used to import containers of wood furniture (some of it palletized) to Canada and fumigation is a really big issue. Avoid if you can.
