    Thanks everyone above... will learn to be happy with 3kg/mo, but will still do some leg / back muscle stuff as I need it. Good thing on Keto ( the only good thing for me) is that you dont feel hungry. I am amazed on the Carb breaks how quickly I get hungry again

    Cheers and thanks .... makes me feel a bit better 3 kg/mo is not terrible. Height - 184cm Walking not really good for me, knees dont like long walks, an with a sore foot ( plantar fasciitis ) , walking not an option and climbing stairs not good for the time being. Dr wants me to do weights on my thighs to support my knees better, and exercise core muscles in back Alex.... I am 100% complaint - a few percent off but fat is between 70-75%, carbs below 5%. Your totally right, I get plateaus which annoy me, and 5 to 7 days later the weight just zips off. On plateaus, sometimes I take a veto break and eat carbs / sugar etc to 2 days
  5. As per previous post, started on Keto diet which has helped me. There is a big loss ( water I believe ), and now I am on a stable line of 3kg/month. ( I am 95.5 kg now ). Is that good ? I was preferring 4kg or more ( too much ) Assuming 4 kg is ok, what can I do better? I have been told less swimming and more weights, but I have bad knees and back, so there will be limits with weights. What kind of weight training do you recommend. I can look it up on youtube and try it. Assume bigger muscles will burn more, it calves, thighs ? Need to improve back too Will probably change, ie 3 days per week swim, and 2 or 3 weight train. ? I swim 1000m ( 30 mins ) - enough, or need to go up to 1500m ? Thanks. So far down about 12kg, but feel I have about 10kg or more to go

    If building muscle, scales not that relevant. In my case just maintain muscle and loose fat. Inflammation - had plantar fasciitis in my foot which was getting worse and worse - first line of defence are anti inflammatories. Dr said if it don’t help , next level is a quite painful injection in the heel. Got worse over 8 months , and in last 2 months - almost gone. Also back pain ( nerve - need anti inflammatory too ) is also improving I am pretty sure sugar is a driver of inflammation- Sheryl ? Sent from my iPhone using Thaivisa Connect

Don’t have Keto sleeping issues, but still have twin sons sleeping interruptions But today down 1.3 kg from the plateau post so I guess fluid Trying to figure a healthy diet after keto Keep the faith !     Thx Sheryl and Robblok for feedback Daily weigh in makes such pretty graphs :) / agree, toilet cycle and other factors will influence and am sure there is a kg in there Robblok - agree Apple Watch etc will be a bit off, but does let me get a feel for how much effort I have put in Frankly - swimming w a watch has done wonders for me, get boarded and want to stop at ie 660m, look at the watch and kinda pushes me to complete the 1000m cause I like round numbers :) Sent from my iPhone using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app

    Thanks - today a big drop, will see tomorrow if continue - if not will take a break. I did a few weeks back, and it dropped radically after tha 800 cals not too hard if have time. Either biking in the morning for 60 mins and swim 1000m evening ( 30 mins ) or swim again in the evening Fast swimming chews a lot of cals ( ie more cals in 30 mins swimming than 60 on bike ). Using Apple Watch and / or my old Garmin sometimes, quite consistent with estimated cals Swim about 430 cals Bike about 370 cals Give or take Sent from my iPhone using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app

    Taking steps to reduce weight, using keto + exercise Main benefits - don’t feel hungry - can still eat cheese etc - inflammation has gone down - assume because no more sugar - ie chronic sore foot plantar fasciitis for 6 months - pain almost gone Anyway - dropped 10 kg and 10kg to go, but this week food minus exercise I have been about 1600 cals per day under “Sustain” cals (2300 is level but net cals about 700 per day) Issue is this week - zero weight reduction, actually increase a little which is just so counter intuitive Drinking water about 3l per day Any advice / experience ?     Have twin boys starting to walk, and power sockets / cables / extension cords have me worried... seeking advice 1) Extension cords protector - found on amazon but shipping cost is 3x the product cost. will get some PVC pipe and mill a slot in it and put 2 ends on it. Same concept Question is about plugs. Already have protectors for non used outlets, but, worried kids will pull out plugs and stick something in them. All kinds of things on Amazon, but require quite a bit of work to take old socket out and replace. Thinking about gluing the plugs in with ie rubber or silicon glue, and then in a few years, turn off power to house and then cut them loose and clean up. Any thoughts or any ideas where to get good stuff in bangkok ?
