    4G News & Developments

FYI .... after returning from the US ( where i inserted a prepaid SIM form AT&T ), could not use LTE in Bangkok anymore. After lots of trying things ( i.e. putting my SIM in a friends iphone5 ) it was clear it was a iPhone issue. After reset to factory settings, and restore back up..... worked ( go figure apple !) On another note, seems to be alot more LTE all over bangkok now.

You must be going through your data allowance pretty fast doing all those speedtest! LOL.... I did when I first got it, cause did not realize it was a big file. Now do maybe one a week. Have 7GB plan now , so not a big issue.

Today 41 Meg DL So far , of draw line from Siam to silom, up to emporium, across to Rama 9, up to Le Meridian on Ratchada and back to paragon ... Seems to be current coverage area Does not eat my battery, cause I am not a heavy video watcher - just seems to load everything a lot faster ( less lag between click and waiting to load )

4G Battery Updates ( iPhone 5 ) Have not really used my phone much this morning. Stand by on 4G. Battery level after 2.5 hours off car charger = 96%

Loving my 4G By the way, don't over use ur speed test app. You hit the fair usage limit so fast ( 20 MB per time on 4G test ) ( I think file size is smaller with 3G )

Trolling is against Thai Visa code of conduct. It clear your waffling on with no facts to support you claim. Have not seen one credible fact yet.

See alot of accusations flying, might distract the kiddies, but not people who know the industry well. Apple as opened up the carrier for True Corp, which means Apple ( one of the most respected Tech companies in the world ) by default certified that True's 4G is 4G compliant and on par with other 4G operators in the world Since your saying its not, your inferring that every operator world wide offering LTE/4G using apple devices is not real 4G Yes, the offering is only down town bangkok, and thats clearly stated in their materials. I believe 4G will cover the whole BMA end of this year.

Maybe you need to keep yourself updated. True do do 4g Sent from my i-mobile i-STYLE Q6 Cheers ThaiCBR.... My head is still shaking in dis belief. Usually the best is to hear him out, the deeper he gets into it, it will flush out the kawaffle.Maybe as a start, Apple does not open 4G carrier for an operator unless they have inspected and approved the network performance. As such, you can't ( not sure about jail break ) use an iPhone or iPad on any 4G network unless apple opens up the carrier So Apple is confident True meets their 4G requirements, so will be interesting to see the OP who feels he knows more than Apple.

Possibly - DTAC has started channel bonding for 3g and some are proud they get 14 Mbps on super off peak. Will also diminish as the cells get more customers

33.5 M download, 14++ Upload......... Waow ! 4G on True Move H in Paragon today - Amazing...... cant wait till more of Bangkok rolls out. Downloaded Thaivisa app ( about 3 MB on android ) - want to count how many seconds to download, did not even get to "1". Doubt i will use more data, not gonna read more, but its cool its there at your finger tips when you want it, and not having to wait. Way to Go !.... now waiting for iPhone / iPad. p.s. just saw hosted on Lao Telecom, forgot to select BKK, should have been better ??
  12. Using that logic:- DTAC does not have 1800 nor 850 MHz perse, belongs to CAT AIS does not have 900 MHz - belongs to TOT.
  13. I don't know where the 2100 can service more customers comes from. As far as I know both 850 and 2100 are identical except 850 goes further and penetrates buildings better.
  14. Ps love the presentation - DTAC is now becoming 3rd rank in the minds of consumers
