There are various types of progressive lenses. The cheap ones will only offer sharp vision in a very small area forcing you to move your head towards what you want to see, the most expensive ones allow you to just move your eyes and still have a sharp vision. Comparing prices just based on prescription isn't much of a comparison. Quality and technical capabilities come at a cost. Sent from my SM-A800F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app

Yes. The snake found in the garden ended up in the soup. It's like eating chicken neck, not much taste. Sent from my SM-A800F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app -

Scare tactic article That raw and undercooked fresh water fish in Isaan may carry liver flukes is already known for decades and well studied by KKU. In sone villages up to 70% of the people have them. The cure is also very simple: Praziquantel Albendazole Available without prescription at any pharmacy 8n Thailand. Besides avoiding raw or undercooked fish, my doctor adviced me to take this medicine every few years, just to be safe. Sent from my SM-A800F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app -
It's rare when people in Khon Kaen can speak English. I will never tell anyone interested in the area that they. Better not to expect it than to be disappointed and ill prepared. The occasional exception doesn't make the rule. Sent from my SM-A800F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app

Research support in ISAAN region- rice fields convert into sugar cane
bmore99 replied to hongwei's topic in Isaan Forum
KKU would be a better choice as it is a far better University with a good agricultural department. And you are right, all ag students come from farmer's families and will know a lot more than the parents. Sent from my SM-A800F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app -

Khon Kaen city is a very nice place to live. City is in full development and growing fast. Enough shops to buy whatever you need. Also enough good hospitals and schools. The rapid growth however is putting strain on the infrastructure, some areas are hard to reach. Make sure you get a house with easy access to the Bypass, the ring road around KKC. There are plenty available for very reasonable prices (Google "house rent khon kaen"). Condominiums, not that many, lately a lot of "townhouses" though. I don't agree with the previous post about English. Shops; government offices; companies; restaurants they hardly speak it. They even don't like to speak Thai, they speak Isaan. More sugarcane farms = more and larger field fires during harvest season = more air-pollution. Let's hope Isaan doesn't become as bad as the Northern region. Sent from my SM-A800F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app -
You mean, you can get a Thai-ID (pink), after you got the yellow housebook. Unlike the ID-card for thai people, the pink one is in Thai language only. Sent from my SM-A800F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app

I got the same request in Khon Kaen Mueang Gao. Turned out what they wanted is your name and that of your parents plus date/place of birth written in Thai characters. Just did it myself and that was accepted. Sent from my SM-A800F using Thailand Forum - Thaivisa mobile app
