  1. I will certainly enjoy watching Muay boran and Muay Thai. But I fear I'm way too old to take them up myself!
  2. Music jams in Bangkok?

Thanks for all the suggestions. I'm an amateur who just likes to have fun playin' the blues with others. No interest in making any money at it. Next question: If I decide not to bring my bass, what are options for buying or renting one once I get there?
  3. Does anybody have any experience with the Bangkok Wing Chun club [http://www.bkkwingchun.com?] Know of other places to train wing chun in Bangkok? Thanks
  4. Music jams in Bangkok?

Thanks for the tip. Just what I was looking for.
  5. I'll be spending January in Bangkok and would love to find gyms to practice martial arts. I train in wing chun or JKD. It's a life-long hobby and how I stay in shape (I not into competition) Schools or classes would be good. But if there are no schools or classes, I'd like to find a gym where I can train on my own. I just need some mat space, weights and a heavy bag (wing chun wooden dummy would be great too.) Suggestions?
  6. Music jams in Bangkok?

Hi all, I'm a bass player. I'm coming to Bangkok in January. Would like to hear about places in Bangkok that hold music get-togethers where people bring their instruments and jam. Blues jams are popular in other countries...anything like that in Thailand? Doesn't have to be blues...other popular music is good. I'd also like to learn to play Thai/Issan folk music. Thanks,

But if there are no schools or classes, I'd like to find a gym where I can train on my own. I just need some mat space, weights and a heavy bag (wing chun wooden dummy would be great too.) I am 60. I'm NOT interested in competition at all. I don't want to challenge anybody or be challenged. Training is just something I love and how I keep in shape. I am happy to share what I know with mellow folks and am always grateful to learn from others. Appreciate any advice you have.
