HIV+ soldier accused of raping 75 boys

Actually it is try reading up. PARTNERS 1/2 or OPPOSITES ATTRACT then research on viral load limits needed for infection and U=U. As for PrEP...things are changing and it is now used psychologically in TTSS/on demand dosage or because the relationship is not guaranteed to be monogamous or doctors haven't quite caught up with new advances.

HIV+ soldier accused of raping 75 boys

Actually it is and is backed up by several studies now. The HIV portion of this story is to sensationalize this story even more to drive clicks.

HIV+ soldier accused of raping 75 boys

This is erroneous, he didn't try to infect anyone, since he was clearly on medication and if taken regularly he is unable to transmit the virus. The addition of HIV was simply to sensationalize the story it's as relevant as if he were a diabetic.

HIV+ soldier accused of raping 75 boys

If he has been taking medication regularly then he can not pass on HIV to anyone. Loads of medical research has proven this. The medications pictured are not expensive around 1200 baht a month or less from a clinic and mostly covered under national health insurance.

my thai friend dying from HIV

Yes here's hoping that his friend has received medication and is doing better and back on track for a healthy normal life. OP please also check that your friend is adhering to their medication schedule as it can be tricky for some people just starting out, any update would be great.

Treatment is not free, unless you are involved in a study. It is however easily available for a very low cost with a month's supply of medication starting from B1.050. There was a program for free PrEP for gay men but unsure if it is still active probably because a month's supply of PrEP is now only B370. As of this week I saw no sign there indicating 'free' treatment. Some Thai citizens used to be eligible for free HIV tests but also unsure if that continues.

Sorry cite your 'manual' or continue to hide. Luckily there have been no advances in science since you were taught something. Fear mongering and misinformation, just like your education is outdated.

HIV was first isolated in 1983 in France/USA so no pathology journals prior to this date would have any information about it. Again cite your source if it is common knowledge. I am not confused you are...if the body is not refrigerated the HIV will not remain viable very long, if it is refrigerated it will remain for around 2 weeks. Provide your source for this 'alternative fact' you are pushing because 2 posters now have said you are wrong can you prove us wrong? There I will say no more.

Crackdown on tattoo shops after death of four women

Yes I know the meaning of exhumed...but since the survival of the HIV virus in corpses is only a few weeks under refrigeration your idea is impossible. You have also neglected to factor in the embalming that most corpses have undergone (as I am not an undertaker I wont be looking it up.) Cite your source if it is so easy or admit you are wrong. A basic search easily finds the facts. Again it has nothing to do with the story. https://nccc.ucsf.edu/2015/11/23/pep-tips-laboratory-cadaver-exposures/ http://www.thebody.com/Forums/AIDS/SafeSex/Q210844.html All searches all return this same answer from multiple reliable sources. Cite your source or stop lying. You are trying to stigmatize HIV with urban myths and falsehoods, educate yourself.

This is incorrect depending upon the tests, there will be reactive results in as little as 10 days. After about 3 weeks many tests will be accurate. Second confirmatory tests are often done again later. However it is advocated to go and get tested immediately after a presumed exposure for two reasons: 1-because unless you have not had sex in the last thirty days since your last test, you might already have been exposed. 2-the more medical information that you have, will facilitate your care in the event of a positive diagnosis and early detection is the key to living a perfectly normal life after testing positive. Testing regularly if you are sexually active is extremely important. HIV tests are only B200 so cost is not an issue. If you are engaging in regular risky activities you can look into PrEP.

Crackdown on tattoo shops after death of four women

Cite your sources for your erroneous assertions...all literature points to HIV remaining active in blood drawn from cadavers at about 14 to 16 days if they have been refrigerated at low temperatures. And so what? Why are you throwing out your spurious info? How does it relate to tattooing supposedly linked to HIV infections? Where the women cadavers? Had they been refrigerated? What's your point?

Crackdown on tattoo shops after death of four women

Provide the citation. You are talking utter rubbish a link to a library is not a reference. Your ignorance is showing. Show your sources...its basic virology 101 so pretty easy to find the real facts. Anyone can see you are wrong.

Crackdown on tattoo shops after death of four women

Cite your sources for cadavers with viable HIV samples 3 years on? As for being transmitted via saliva its hypothetical and a raft of conditions must be met.

Crackdown on tattoo shops after death of four women

A quick search and it seems transmission through tattooing is hypothetically possible but as of yet unsubstantiated by documented cases. There were two reports of prison made tatoos causing infection...somebody can check it maybe more in depth. But seems implausible that 4 people all were exposed to HIV in one sitting...we won't even deal with the fact that somebody would have to have been infectious...

Crackdown on tattoo shops after death of four women

'And as for people stating it takes years to die of AIDS from HIV sly wrong. I know of people (friends) hospitalized 6-9 months after exposure with pneumonia from hiv that were told they would behave been dead without treatment in less than a month. Most people will tae years to develop AIDS, but there is not one strain of HIV there are many - and many of these are more virulent and can lead to AIDS in far less time.' This is a boldface lie. If your 'friends' got pneumonia it had nothing to do with an exposure to HIV in the previous 6 months. There is no 'virulent' HIV super strain that will cause death in 6-9 months, a complete fantasy. Read up and get the facts. As for 4 people getting infected of the same needle? There is a whole lot boatload of ifs and trillion to 1 odds to overcome to make that story true...
