  2. Tour guide

My elderly parents are coming over next year for a holiday. Mid 70s and active. They want to spend a week in Chiang mai touring. I know they would like to see the mountains and any other points of interest. Not big on temples but would like to see a couple. Any recommendations for a guide. I'm sure the hotel can arrange trips but a personal recommendation would be great. Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  3. Nasty cough

Thanks will try the one from 7eleven. The cough is from a bad cold. The wife had it last month and is just getting over it. I had sore throat and blocked nose last week but whenever I get a cough it's always bad. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Nasty cough

The local pills are not working. An American chap gave me some pills a number years ago when I had a similar nasty and persistent cough which worked great but unfortunately I forget their name. Can someone help..? Thanks Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. Roi et city hotel

Well the Capital hotel was ok if a bit tired. One positive was that we didn't hear any outside noise which means the walls were quite thick. TV had a bad picture and the remote didn't work. Breakfast was ok. Staff were friendly. Possibly would stay there again but would like to try the Rice hotel first. PaidB600 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

  12. Lights dimming

Hi we bought a new house here. There are 3 ac unit and 2 showers . It doesn't matter what ac unit or shower is working but when one is turned on all the lights dim and if a fan is running then that slows down. Even when the water pump comes on its the same problem. It feels like not enough electricity is coming in. Any ideas what this is.. thanks Sent from my SM-G7102 using Tapatalk
  13. Just got my multi non o based on marriage last week. All very smooth. Couple tips To avoid the line at the consulate when submitting your application aim to get there around 10am or later. Just remember they close the gate at 11 am. Stayed at ar residence which adjoins avalon hotel. 700 baht a night. No English tv and unstable net. Room have kettle and free coffee. But the cafe was good. The avalon hotel is 690 baht a night with some English tv and ok net. No kettle in room. These hotels are walkable from the bus station and yo the consulate. On the way to the consulate from the hotel there's a very nice cafe with ac which is about half way. You can't miss it as it has old style uk red telephone boxes outside. Tuk Tuk from consulate to bridge I paid 50 baht Sent from my SM-G7102 using Tapatalk
