  1. Yet the left feel it acceptable to burn an effigy of Boris Johnson as a Bonfire Night guy.

    UK pensions

I don't remember women running ads when they retired 5 years earlier than men, and on average also lived longer. They only want equality when it suits them.

    Khon kaen immigration moving?

Where the photo was taken inside Central it's near the post office shop. I had a look on Wednesday and there's nothing there, no sign at all of immigration, just another empty shop, one of many in there.

    Best Free Antivirus

Thanks, everybody. I'll stick with Kaspersky and Malwarebytes.

    Best Free Antivirus

I've been using Avast for a while now but recently the CPU useage has gone sky high and literally stops the computer dead for 30 seconds periodically. I uninstalled it with their own tool in safe mode and downloaded Bitdefender, but that wouldn't load although it loaded one component that appears useless and is not the antivirus part. So Kaspersky is next and appears to be doing the job, although is has flagged a couple of Thai Visa pages before I told it they were OK. If that doesn't suite me, although it seems OK so far, are there any recommendations? I only want the basic antivirus, no bells or whistles.
  7. I have kept all my letters from the BE. In 2010 there was no wording. In 2011 and 2012 the words at the bottom were " The British Embassy Bangkok accepts no responsibility for the contents of this document". The current wording started in 2013.
  8. Until you are falsely accused.
  9. I would have thought that the BE providing a simple letter and charging 52 GBP for it was cost effective. They have now lost that income.
  10. If women are so good at multi-tasking, how come they can't have a headache and sex at the same time?!
  11. I have used the embassy letter every year for about 12 years. Every year I have supplied the embassy with copies of letters from my pension providers. A couple of years ago the embassy also started to ask for a document summarising the income. Then they added faint weasel words at the bottom of the issued letter saying words to the effect of the embassy doesn't guarantee the figures. In which case why did they always ask for supporting documentation? I'm fortunate in that my current extension is only a month old, done by email for the first and apparently last time. So by the time my next extension is due the dust will have settled and we will know what is expected.

They might well ask for your passport details when you send it, some POs do, some don't.
  13. I doubt that Germany has a consulate in Bangkok. I have no doubt that it has an embassy.
  14. Whose payroll is that slimeball on now?
  15. I renewed my extension to stay just last month. The British Embassy letter has an embossed seal on it and the IO ran her finger over it to check it was real.
