  1. How strict are AirAsia on cabin bag size?

Depends on the luggage scale used by AirAsia. If you encounter the luggage scale in the pic below at check in counter or boarding gates, your carry on luggage will need to fit into the guide rails.
  2. For Thai nationals, 30 bahts fee for applying temporary border pass at Mae Sai immigration office (Cannot apply at the bridge) and 10 bahts entry fee for Burmese side.
  3. Domestic to International

AirAsia does provide CIQ in Don Muang if both flights are in same booking as Fly-Thru. You will need to check in and go through passport control at airport of your first flight but no need to check in again at Don Muang. Once you landed in Don Muang, AirAsia staff will escort you to departure gate of your second flight. https://www.airasia.com/th/en/our-connections/connecting-flights.page#bangkok
  4. The rumble strips create an audible rumbling sound and a vibration in the steering wheel when a vehicle drives over them. The sound and vibration can wake a sleeping driver--giving him or her time to regain control of the vehicle.
  5. A.I.S. told gf to turn off “Find My Iphone”

  6. Caterpillar is working on a dash cam that will monitor the driver's eye for the frequency of blinking, duration of blinks and the velocity of the eyelid. If drivers do close their eyes for longer than expected -- generally anything longer than 1.6 seconds -- an alarm goes off. http://www.wired.co.uk/article/eye-tracking-mining-system
  7. I think that out of many types of International Driving Permits, Thailand recognize 1949 convention. Does your IDP carry the 1949 convention on the cover? ORIGINAL AND PHOTO COPY OF INVALID INTERNATIONAL DRIVING LICENSE (1949 CONVENTION) OR LOCAL DRIVING LICENSE (TRANSLATE IN TO ENGLISH OR THAI LANGUAGE AND CERTIFY BY EMBASSY IF IT IS NOT IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE) Source https://www.dlt.go.th/en/renew-license/

  9. HKT > KUL AirAsia This is not a boarding pass

I found that if I use the self-service Kiosks located at the entrance to departure building, I can get actual boarding pass with out the need for document check. You can probably try to re-print the boarding pass at self-service kiosk to avoid the queue at document check counter.
  10. Novotel Bangkok Suvarnabhumi Airport, a 24-Hour Flexible property with no set check in time, allows you to arrive whenever you want and checkout 24 hours later.

  13. How do you like the new Skype for iOS?

Right, a toll free call to a 1800 number is actually a landline call that does not cost anything to user. I should rather say I haven't tried making land line calls that are not toll free using the new Skype iOS version.
  14. How do you like the new Skype for iOS?

I updated the Skype iOS version to latest version last night and made the toll free call to a 1800 number in US. I haven't tried calling to normal land lines or send SMS though.
