Although no deaths reported in second example, it says this:

Extrapolation from the animal evidence suggests that the lethal human dose of THC is at least as high as, and probably higher than, that observed in the monkey. If this is so, then the toxic dose of THC in a 65kg adult would be 8.45kg

Cannabis Psychosis:

Shows that Cannabis can & does cause Psychosis:

“Think of the name of a drug and add psychosis on the end,” he said. “Amphetamine psychosis and cannabis psychosis are the main ones on the acute wards.”

My original post says that all drugs in sufficient quantity can kill you. I then said that a few joints are most likely ok.

I made a comparison with Paracetamol, as an example.

Then, the stoners jump on my back, & disagree that there is not LD 50 for Cannabis.

That's about THC, not a highly concentrated form of cannabis. And given that you acknowledge that no actual deaths have been reported from cannabis overdose, that would make it safer than aspirin or ibuprofen or paracetamol or a huge variety of over-the-counter drugs.

The difference in withdrawal symptoms has naught to do with the power of the addiction. I'm an addict, and I can tell you for sure that I would rather be an alcoholic than a gambler. My current alcohol addiction, which is the only addiction with withdrawal symptoms that can actually kill you, is more or less to keep my gambling addiction at bay, as I would never, ever, want to go back to gambling – the aftermath of every relapse will affect the next years of your life even when you go through the program and manage to "stay clean" for a while, as the financial aftermath stays with you for years to come. Then you finally get there, and go on another tumble that ruins the next few years, at least.

Say I wasn't a gambling addict as well as an alcoholic – if I quit drinking tomorrow, I'd be heading for a great future. If I stopped drinking, then went on another one of my economically devastating gambling tumbles, then quit tomorrow, I'd struggle with the aftermath for years. To be honest, I'd probably end myself, I simply can't handle that one more time around.

I know heroin withdrawal is extremely uncomfortable (though not deadly), but how much pain you are in when not getting your hit was never my point.

I remember the story of a girl told she couldn't have her heroin who promptly shatt herself at the thought of the impending cold turkey.

It isn't the drug that causes the problems it's the lack of it and things people do to pay for it.

How can you be so niave, to not accept that any drug in sufficient quantity or purity will kill?

Is Paracetamol dangerous, generally not. But consumed in sufficient quantity, it will kill.

Ingest a highly concentrated form of Cannabis, it will kill you.

Trying looking at LD in toxicology. Then perhaps you might possibly begin to see my point. But, I doubt it.

A few joints, then no.

Is this so difficult to understand?

Judging by your comments, probably yes.

Ok, enough now.

If you ingest enough of anything it will kill you. What IS the point you are trying to make?

I am not a stoner, i am a man of logic and truth.  Nothing in those articles are validated by the medical community and even the info they present is pretty weak.
