Selling second hand car Chiangmai

Recommended Posts

Posted (edited)

Hi all ... i bought a new car (฿550,000) six months ago and now looking to sell it.

Is it best to do Private sale or just drive into a Secondhand Trader?

How long does it usually take?

Any advice/suggestions on pitfalls to watchout for much appreciated? Links to sites?

Thanks

Rfah

You can try ThaiVisa classified or another good one is

Bahtsold.com  just put some pictures and description,

condition and mileage are important details, you will

get more than if you sell it at a tent outfit,if the price

is reasonable, you should get viewers and if lucky a

buyer.

regards worgeordie        P.S. If someone wants to take test drive ,go with them,or they may not return.!

ThaiVisa classifieds were useful, informative and interesting only  a few years ago when all Chiang Mai ads were accumulated on one page and we could browse those at leisure.  Now to view any local ads we must plough thru page after page of waste related to every other place in T'land. I have not  viewed  any TV classified ad in 2 years.

Wish i could be more helpful.

Those are platforms of the past.... Seriously if you want to sell, try FB groups, Line groups, kaidee, websites with Bangkok buyers, etc. Be prepared to sell at a substantial discount if you are serious about selling quick. I still think one of the best ways to sell is by legally parking the vehicle in a high visibility area with a sign on it in Thai language. I don't think it's important to advertise too much in English. We sold a car not too long ago and the ratio was - over 50 calls from Thai speakers and only one call from an English speaker (Chinese). FB groups put the ad in both Thai and English.

OP, what is the make/model of the vehicle? This will have a huge bearing on the depreciation...

Have a look on Taladrod.com it will you an idea what your car is worth...
