A Swiss man was arrested at a Chon Buri resort early on Saturday as requested by the Swiss government for having allegedly cheated an insurance firm in his motherland of 600,000 francs or about Bt20 million.

BERLIN (Reuters) - German police on Friday briefly detained former cyclist and Tour de France champion Jan Ullrich for attacking and injuring a 31-year old prostitute in a Frankfurt luxury hotel, a police spokeswoman said.

SARAJEVO (Reuters) - "Cold War", by Oscar-winning Polish director Pawel Pawlikowski, will open the 24th Sarajevo Film Festival (SFF) on Friday, the largest film competition and industry platform in a region stretching from Vienna to Istanbul.

LOS ANGELES (Reuters) - Phil Yu is excited. The Los Angeles-based blogger saw an advance screening months ago of "Crazy Rich Asians" and now the first Hollywood movie in 25 years with an all-Asian cast is about to arrive in theaters along with two other predominantly Asian films.

Courts to move disputed residences from Doi Suthep to Chiang Rai

Earthquake damage on Lombok reaches US$138 million

The damage and losses caused by last week’s 7.0-magnitude earthquake in Lombok, West Nusa Tenggara (NTB), and Bali have been estimated to reach more than US$138 million, according to Indonesia’s national disaster agency.
