Validity of UK Embassy Income Letter

Recommended Posts

A couple of questions given the current situation regarding the UK Embassy announcement. Now as my retirement extension(income method) is due in February(I usually do it a month early) so say the end of January I was thinking about getting a letter before the deadline BUT I need to know:

1. How long is an income letter "valid" for by Thai Immigration?

2. If I get a letter from the UK Embassy before the deadline will Thai Immigration still allow it's use given that the UK Embassy says they are stopping the service because it doesn't meet Thai requirements.

Don't want to create a speculative post but would appreciate the views of one of our experts.

If it is a no go I can save myself 50GBP.

1. It can be up to 6 months old on the date you apply for your extension.

2. I see no reason for it not to be accepted.

I have already suggested getting the letter early to others if their extension will be due within 6 months in other topics.

Many thanks, if you want to merge this or close it no problem. Appreciated
