I
OH, to be in Thaland now that Prayuths there
And whoever wakes in Thailand sees, some morning, unaware,
That the lowest values and the greatest thieves
Round the brown envelope the sycophants arrive
While the bird of freedon sings on the orchard bough, goodbye         5

Thaland— this is now!

Apologies to Robert Browning.

1,740 / 365 = 4.76 years.

He is 23 years old.  This means he came to Thailand at 18 and never left.  Interesting.

And people on here moan about Farang on low incomes that do NOT overstay their visa AND STILL report every 90 ays

The moaning is coming from the low income farang who have suddenly found that someone may just start checking their fairytale claims.

Like it or not, Thailand, like nearly every country including yours, does set conditions for visitors to enter and stay. Being able to live below those guidelines, while perhaps commendable, is still in breach of the laws.

Below what guidelines? There are only laws that state clearly how much income must be brought into the country and deposited in order to be granted a certain visa. There is nothing whatever in those laws regarding living 'below those guidelines'.

Syrian dude went the wrong direction. Should have gone to Germany or Sweden. Free house and welfare to boot. Probably on his way there now.

Please be informed that the story is about NANAI road in Patong, not about NANA in Bangkok.
