Deputy PM Prawit instructs relevant agencies to ready traffic system before schools reopen

Recommended Posts

So does this indicate that the "traffic systems" , whatever he means by that,  are not currently working in those specific areas ?  Anybody confirm this ? ; As there must be gridlock if this were to be the case.

What the Fudge is he talking about? What "systems" do you mean? the whistle blowing idiots that make trafic worse or the blocked interections which make traffic worse? I could continue but whats the point....

There is no reliable transport available, most of the parents resort to sending and picking their children with own car.

Prawit received an update on ways to ease the traffic woes in Bangkok and its vicinity.

Update:  Aint gona happen in this decade.

Without wise investment in infrastructure, there will be no ease.  Kids should walk to school like kids in other countries.  Of course, parents vote, and the few friends the junta has are in Bangkok.   Sounds like a pipe dream, nothing more.  The little troll just like to hear himself speak from time to time.

Yet another meaningless directive from those at the top.  In effect, he is just saying "do the job you are paid to do", while I concentrate on writing my defence to the watches investigation just in case it has not been permanently shelved as seems to be the case.

Please join the queue; I've been hearing this "instruction" for more than 30 years here.

As long as public transport is extremely bad to non-existing, Thais rather buy cars at exorbitant pricing and interest payments since they cannot calculate and their own vehicle is a matter of prestige ...........

As long as the police is in general in for the quick buck take and absolutely incompetent or unwilling to enforce traffic rules .......

As long as there is a traffic light leaving the lane on read for 300+ seconds while Somchai is doing counterproductive traffic management in the middle of the same intersection .........

Prawatch just made yet another fool of himself and the laughing stock - again !

On South Sathorn they have one contra-flow lane that starts at Surasak and allows people to by-pass BCC.. to me, that’s a fair idea.  While it’s not a permanent solution, given that there is apparently more volume coming over the bridge eastbound, it seems logical to contra-flow one westbound lane for only a 1-2 “block” zone as a bypass for BCC.
