BANGKOK, 7th December 2018 (NNT) - Deputy Prime Minister Gen Prawit Wongsuwan said today the ban on political activities could be lifted after December 11th.

Gen Prawit spoke of the recent meeting between the so-called five rivers and political parties which some parties had refused to attend. He said he was not concerned about their absence as he believes parties will follow election rules.

After the lifting of the ban, he said parties will be able to campaign for votes, although any distortion of facts will face punishment. As for calls for Gen Prayut to step down if he wishes to run for office, Gen Prawit said he won't be able to do so because he is head of the NCPO, which will remain in power until the formation of the new government.

Wonder if they will lift the ban in Dec 2018 or 2019?

This says it all. No free campaining for political parties. Only the Junta is allowed to distort facts in order to gain votes...
