Good Restaurants in Chiang Rai.

We lunched at Manorom on Sunday, feeling like a change of scene.

I had a piece of fried fish that was described as "snapper" that was better than anything I've eaten in north Thailand.

My friend had the pad thai goong that came with omelet and one of the largest freshwater shrimp, spreadeagled and bbq'd that you would wish to see.

An interesting crowd as well.


Not cheap at 1000B with 4 coffees but most enjoyable.

Anyone making decent ricepaper rolls for take out around town?

I used to get them downstairs at Central but not seen them for a while.
