Images Of Isaan

Recommended Posts

Here are a few pics from around Nongkhai and Phon Phisai where I used to live. Decided to post BW pics as they give a timeless quality.

Cheers Glenbat, are you in Hertford with the Missus? and Mr Happy, I'll see what I can do about posting some colour pics.

Cyclo Taxi Man near the lake in Surin.

post-5966-1165452729_thumb.jpg

How many lakes are in Surin? I speak to my TG everyday and she doesn't understand what I mean about what a lake is or if there is a natural place in Surin to go swimming. This lake that is spoken of in Surin, is this a place someone could fish in or is it just a lake for water usage? I look for maps detailing the rivers and lakes around Surin and have never found much of anything. I figured I would find out when I get there in 3 weeks.

Thanks for any replies,

Nhscotsman

Thanks guemlum, much more interesting IMO. I particularly like the one of the Naga (hope that's right) the colour makes it really stand out! Pity you didn't move that pile of bricks LOL!

Love the use of B&W personally, really set the scene like you said timeless photos.. Could of been taken 50 years ago or yesterday love it

Hey thommo46 I love your pics. I live near Lam Plai Mat and just 30 mins drive from Phanom Rung and Muang Tam. Can you please give me directions to get to the lake near NR (Korat).

Cheers,

Bicko
