Bangkok Street Scenes 1965

I was there two years earlier and don't remember all the traffic and noise. It was obviously there, but selective memory. A lot more Thai men wearing shorts then. You don't see that much in BKK anymore. There is more of a sense of peacefulness and a slower life besides the cars etc.

Me too. Also better footpaths. I suppose 52 years of no maintenance is the explanation...

52 years... so those young kids are still  younger than me, so that's ok.

Seemed to be a tad more horn honking than now.

Most of the Adults in that are dead by now .Sobering thought.I was a young 12 year old boy in Ireland ,at the time .

tuck-tucks are the same than today 

always interesting, these old videos or pictures; no mini-shorts yet :smile:

Fewer motorbikes, no plastic bags that I could see, more shoulder poles.

 

Amazing how similar it looks to today.
