PHUKET: -- Patong Police are considering invoking the Computer Crime Act against a man who was severely beaten in what appears to be a pre-arranged gang fight in Patong after he accused police on Facebook of neglecting their duty.

The incident came to light on Wednesday (Aug 9) when videos of the fight posted by “Jeen Zosmilez” (real name not disclosed) started going viral.

The post also included a video of young Thai males at a police station and photos of a young Thai man in a hospital bed with extensive facial and head injuries.

Disgraceful to use this terribly conceived law to suppress rightful condemnation of a corrupt and negligent police force.

There's going to be some baseball fans majorly jealous over that set of stitches.

Maybe it will become a thing.

Surely the Computer Crimes Act would have been relevant if he made an allegation that they had been diligent in their duty. After all, it is Pattaya.

Wow! I would have thought it worth a defamation suit at least. Or perhaps there's some truth in the claim and the RTP is taking the line of least resistance.
