Video: Swords knives and clubs - yet more shocking student violence on the streets of Bangkok

A video filmed on a dash cam in a passing car showed a violent altercation between two groups of warring students on the streets of Bangkok.

The student gang warfare - a perennial problem in Bangkok - has been at the head of he news after several bad cases recently.

In the latest violence two groups of young men wielded swords, "Sparta" knives and clubs as a chase began. When one group were unable to exact revenge on the other they took out thr frustrations by damaging a motorcycle.

Apparently there were no serious injuries after the 8am school fight in Phuttamonthon Sai 2.

Lak Song police told Thai Rath online that they were aware of the incident that was between two of the three apprentice engineering schools in the area.

Those involved are yet to be apprehended.

For Glory and pride of the school which they will be with for 2 or 3 years time.

All for bragging rights during nightly drinking sessions after driving the tuk tuk.

its a gang and turf culture just like in many down trodden areas of big cities and considering imo most of this country is "down trodden" with the current jumta its any wonder.

and drive a tuk tuk, i doubt it, to young they'd get slaughtered by that gang.

Get them all together in one area, say a football pitch. Give them all real weapons and let them wipe each other out. This of course would never happen because when it comes down to it they're cowards and would never turn up.

The video is very clear, should be easy to find the animals.

The solution is easy. Give them a police record and expell them from school with no appeal.

Easy.

Won't take too long before either the schools are empty or there are no more fights.

It is stretching things more than a bit to blame the current "jumta" for these events.  The social and education backgrounds to these clashes goes back generations if not centuries.
