Officials have issued a safety warning after eight foreign tourists were stung by jellyfish at Pranburi beach.

The eight tourists all required medical treatment at Pranburi hospital after being stung on Sunday.

The Sawang Phaepaisan Thammasathan Foundation issued the warning after scores of jellyfish were found along a six kilometer stretch of beach between Pak Nam Pran and Khao Kalok, which is approximately 15 kilometres south of Hua Hin.

Rescue workers said the Chrysaora jellyfish were found in the sea and washed up on the beach.

Tourists, especially children, are advised to avoid the water.

Local officials said signs would be erected to warn people about the jellyfish.

Oh, Mother, can I go down to swim?

Oh, yes, my darling daughter

Be sure to hang your clothes on a bush

And don't go near the water!!

if the locals cant kill you , the fish will

Oh really?

What sort of a country is Thailand? Do foreigners really choose to go there?

Sounds to be an extremely dangerous place.
